Welcome to Runlab. By accessing or using our service at runlab.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using the platform. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use Runlab.

Description of Service

Runlab is a web application that connects to your Strava account to provide advanced analytics and visualizations of your running history. Our service includes:

  • Visualization of your running activities across multiple years
  • Analytics on distance, pace, elevation, and training patterns
  • GPS territory mapping and location tracking
  • Temperature and environmental correlations for your runs
  • Year-over-year comparisons and goal tracking

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Runlab. By using our service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. You must also have a valid Strava account and agree to Strava's own terms of service.

Account and Authentication

Runlab uses Strava OAuth for authentication. By connecting your Strava account:

  • You authorize Runlab to read your activity data from Strava
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Strava credentials
  • You can revoke Runlab's access at any time through your Strava settings
  • You must not share your session token or allow others to access your account

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use Runlab for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or another user's data
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of our service
  • Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from Runlab at scale
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service
  • Use the service to transmit malware, viruses, or other malicious code

Data and Privacy

Your use of Runlab is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms of Service by reference. By using Runlab, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

Intellectual Property

Runlab and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Runlab and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. This includes:

  • The Runlab logo, name, and brand identity
  • The application's code, design, and user interface
  • Analytics algorithms and visualization methods

Your activity data remains yours. We do not claim ownership over the data you bring from Strava.

Third-Party Services

Runlab integrates with third-party services, including Strava. Your use of these services is subject to their own terms and policies:

  • Strava: Your activities are fetched via the Strava API. Strava's own Terms of Service and API Agreement apply.

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of third-party services.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Runlab is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy or completeness of analytics data displayed on the platform.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Runlab shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of data, loss of profits, or any other losses resulting from your reliance on information provided by the service.

Service Availability

We strive to keep Runlab available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any such modifications, suspensions, or discontinuations.

Termination

You may stop using Runlab at any time by revoking access in your Strava settings. We may suspend or terminate your access to Runlab if:

  • You violate these Terms of Service
  • We are required to do so by law
  • We reasonably believe your account has been compromised
  • Your Strava account is deleted or suspended

Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. We will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Runlab after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Runlab shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing any legal action.

Strava API Compliance
