Find answers to common questions about Runlab, our features, and how to get the most out of your running analytics.
Runlab is a free web application that transforms your Strava running data into advanced analytics and beautiful visualizations. We help runners understand their training patterns, track progress, and optimize performance through interactive charts, route maps, and detailed statistics.
Runlab is completely free to use. There are no premium tiers, subscription fees, or hidden costs. All features are available to every user at no charge.
Simply click the "Connect with Strava" button on our homepage. You'll be redirected to Strava's secure login page where you can authorize Runlab to access your activities. We only request read-only access and never modify your Strava data. After authorization, you'll be redirected back to Runlab and your activities will be imported automatically.
Yes, absolutely. Your data is encrypted both in transit and at rest. We use industry-standard security practices and only request read-only access to your Strava activities. We never share your data with third parties, and you can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your dashboard settings.
Runlab offers comprehensive running analytics including: total distance and time, average pace trends, elevation gain statistics, route mapping with interactive maps, performance trends over time, training consistency heatmaps, territory coverage analysis, personal records tracking, and much more. All visualizations are interactive and can be filtered by date ranges.
Currently, Runlab exclusively integrates with Strava. However, if you sync your runs from other platforms (like Garmin, Polar, or Apple Watch) to Strava, those activities will automatically appear in Runlab as well.
Runlab automatically syncs your latest activities from Strava when you visit your dashboard. We also support webhook updates, which means new activities can be pushed to Runlab in real-time as soon as they're uploaded to Strava.
Yes! Every Runlab user gets a public profile page at runlab.app/u/[username]. This page displays your key statistics and recent runs. You can share this link with training partners, coaches, or on social media. You can control your profile visibility in your account settings.
If you disconnect your Strava account or revoke Runlab's access, we will no longer be able to sync new activities. Your existing data will remain in Runlab until you choose to delete your account. You can reconnect at any time to resume syncing.
Currently, Runlab is optimized specifically for running activities. While we can import other activity types from Strava, our analytics and visualizations are designed around running metrics (pace, distance, elevation). We may add support for other sports in the future based on user demand.
Since all your activity data originates from Strava, you can always export your complete dataset directly from Strava. Runlab focuses on visualization and analysis rather than data storage. We may add export features for specific analytics reports in the future.
You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard settings. This will permanently remove all your data from our servers. You'll need to also revoke Runlab's access from your Strava account settings if you want to completely disconnect the integration.
Runlab is currently a web application optimized for both desktop and mobile browsers. We don't have native iOS or Android apps yet, but our responsive design works excellently on all screen sizes. You can add Runlab to your mobile home screen as a Progressive Web App (PWA) for a native-like experience.
Runlab works best on modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge (latest versions). We use cutting-edge web technologies for optimal performance, so we recommend keeping your browser updated.
Absolutely! We actively develop Runlab based on user feedback. If you have feature requests, bug reports, or suggestions, please reach out through our contact channels. Community input directly shapes our development roadmap.
